How Bowling Events UK uses the details you give us

What we collect

To run the South of England Youth Bowling Tournament 2027 we collect the bowler's name, date of birth, club, BTBA membership number, bowling average, and contact details for the bowler and, for under-18s, a parent or guardian. We also record any medical or access needs you choose to tell us about, your consent choices, and payments.

Why we need it

Date of birth decides the age division. The BTBA number and name are checked against the BTBA member list, because the event is sanctioned by the BTBA. Contact details are used to confirm the entry, answer questions and share tournament information. Payment details are used to match bank transfers and card payments to entries. Card payments are handled by Stripe; card numbers never reach us.

Who sees it

The tournament organisers. Names, divisions, averages, handicaps and scores are published in squad lists, live scores and results, which is part of taking part in a tournament. Nothing else is published. The BTBA receives the results and the sanction report it requires. Photographs and video are only published where consent has been given on the entry form.

How long we keep it

Entry details are kept for the tournament and the following season so that returning bowlers and records can be handled, then deleted or anonymised. Results are kept permanently as part of the tournament's history.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold by emailing info@bowlingevents.uk. Data is stored on a server in the United Kingdom.
